For the VisitCard signature to be inserted by itself into every message, with no click, your organisation’s Microsoft 365 administrator deploys the VisitCard add-in once for the chosen users (Pro and Team).

The administrator’s 5 steps

  1. Open admin.microsoft.com → Settings → Integrated apps.
  2. Click “Upload custom apps”, then choose “Provide link to manifest file”.
  3. Paste the manifest address shown on the Signature page (https://visitcard.app/api/integrations/outlook/manifest.xml).
  4. Choose the users: the whole organisation or a group.
  5. Accept the requested permissions, then finish the deployment.

Rollout can take up to 24 hours, sometimes longer. On the Signature page, the “Send these instructions to my IT department” button emails them these steps.

What happens next

The signature is inserted automatically into every new message, reply and forward, chosen from the sending address (card or team shared address). Each user connects their VisitCard account once in the add-in pane, which also lets them switch card.

Supported clients

Outlook on the web, the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, classic Outlook for Windows from the Microsoft 365 apps, and Outlook for iOS and Android in the versions where Microsoft supports these add-ins. No automatic insertion with Outlook 2016 or 2019 perpetual licences, nor with a personal Outlook.com or Hotmail account: the “Insert my signature” button in the pane remains available.
