Your details

The QR code is computed 100% in your browser: what you type is neither sent to nor stored on our servers, unless you ask for it by email.

Enter at least your name to generate the QR code.

A digital card that updates without reprinting the QR — 14 days of Pro free

A vCard QR code freezes your details at print time: a new phone number and everything has to be reprinted. Your VisitCard QR code leads to a page you can edit anytime — photo, links, booking, contact form and statistics.

What is a vCard QR code?

A vCard QR code directly contains a contact card in vCard format (the address-book standard, .vcf files). When scanned, the phone offers “Create contact” with your name, company, number, email and website already filled in — no internet connection or app required.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the fields above: the QR code updates with every keystroke.
  2. Scan it with your phone to check the contact card it offers.
  3. Download the PNG for documents and slides. For your printer, get the SVG by email: it stays sharp at any size.
  4. Print it at least 2 × 2 cm, keeping a white margin around it.

What to put in the QR code?

The generator encodes the most useful fields of a business card: name, company, phone, email and website. Each extra field makes the code denser. For a printed card, your name, one number and an email address are often enough; the website leads to everything else.

Where to use a vCard QR code?

  • On the back of a paper business card, so people can save you without retyping.
  • On a badge, a stand poster or a brochure.
  • In a presentation or a PDF document.

If your details may change, use the QR code of a digital business card instead: it leads to a page you keep up to date, and it can also be printed on an NFC business card.

Printing best practices

  • Contrast: dark modules on a light background, never the other way round.
  • Margin: keep the white quiet zone around the code (already included in the files).
  • Density: the more text, the denser the code. Keep it short — which is why a QR code pointing to an online card works so well.
  • Test: check it reads on both an iPhone and an Android phone before printing in bulk.

Frequently asked questions

Is this vCard QR code generator really free?

Yes, with no sign-up: the PNG downloads directly, with no limit; the vector SVG (colour of your choice, transparent background optional) is sent to you free of charge by email. The QR code is yours: it depends on no service and works even if you never use VisitCard.

Is my data sent anywhere?

Not for the PNG: the QR code is computed by your browser and nothing you type is sent to our servers. If you ask for the email, the details you entered are used to create the files, and VisitCard does not keep them; your email address is recorded with the date of the request.

Are accented characters supported?

Yes, the content is encoded in UTF-8, understood by current camera apps. Always test your QR code before printing it.

What is the minimum print size?

Allow at least 2 × 2 cm, white margin included, for a QR code with a few fields. The longer the content, the larger the code must be: test it at its actual size before printing.

Does the QR code work on iPhone and Android?

Yes: current iPhone and Android camera apps read vCard QR codes and offer to save the contact. Check it reads on both before printing in bulk.

Can I change the QR code after printing it?

No: a vCard QR code contains the data itself. To change your details without reprinting, use your digital card’s QR code, which leads to a page you keep up to date.
