Your email signature is generated from your card: you retype nothing. It updates automatically with the Outlook add-in; copied and pasted, it is a frozen copy. One signature per card, included from Pro. The Starter plan gives you a simple signature (Classic, Bar and Minimal layouts, basic fields) to copy, with a small “Made with VisitCard” line underneath; removing that line, the custom template, automatic updates and the banner are part of Pro.
Setting it up
- Open Dashboard → Signature.
- Choose the layout (Classic, Centred, Bar, Minimal), the fields shown and the accent colour.
- Optionally add a free line and a marketing image, with a display period.
Bespoke HTML template
From Pro, the Custom layout lets you write your own HTML, with variables replaced by your card’s data. On Team, the admin sets a team template (layout, fields, logo, confidentiality notice) that can be locked, and shared addresses (customer service, info@…): 3 included, then each one billed as a seat.
Installing it
- Copy signature: the formatted signature, to paste once into Outlook (or into Gmail, Settings → Signature). It is a copy: paste it again after you change your card.
- Gmail keeps several named signatures: create one per card (Settings → See all settings → Signature → Create new), then pick it with the pen icon while writing.
- The Outlook add-in re-reads the signature for every message; deployed by the Microsoft 365 administrator, it inserts it by itself (see the article “Automatic insertion in Outlook”).
