Take a photo of a business card you received: name, title, company, email and phone are read for you, you check them, then the contact joins your address book, marked “Scanned”. Included in the Pro and Team plans; the Starter plan gets 3 free scans in total, from the dashboard.
From the dashboard
Dashboard → Contacts → Scan a card. When you are signed in, your own card also shows a discreet Scan a card button that opens the same scanner.
My scan link (no sign-in)
- On the Contacts page, My scan link box → Create my link.
- The link is shown only once: copy it and open it on your phone.
- Add the page to your home screen: it opens like an app, “Scanner VisitCard”, without signing in.
- Anyone who has this link can add contacts to your address book: do not share it. Revoke disables it immediately, Regenerate replaces it with a new one.
- One active link per account. It stops working if your account leaves Pro or Team.
Team members
Members of a team have it too, as long as the team owner is on the Team plan: a Scan a card button on their Contacts page and on their own card when they are signed in, and their own My scan link, separate from the owner’s. Scanned contacts join the member’s card: both the member and the team owner see them. Each member has their own daily limit. A member’s link stops working if they leave the team or if the team leaves the Team plan.
Your visitors: “Fill in with a photo of my card”
In the “Send My Details” form on your card, visitors can, if they wish, take a photo of their own business card: first name, last name, email, phone and company are filled in, they check them and send the form as usual (same consent boxes, same notification). Typing by hand always remains possible.
Limits
- Up to 30 scans per day per account (10 during a free trial). The scan link and your visitors’ photos count towards this limit.
- At most 5 photos per day from the same connection for visitors. The button disappears from your card once your daily limit is reached.
Privacy
The photo is sent to an AI service (Claude, by Anthropic) solely to read the card. VisitCard does not store it anywhere: only the reviewed contact details are kept. Details: privacy policy.
