Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer. A 6-digit TOTP code from your phone is required at each login.

Enable 2FA

1. Dashboard → My account → Security tab.
2. Click Enable two-factor authentication.
3. Scan the QR code with a TOTP app: Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Microsoft Authenticator.
4. Enter the 6-digit code shown by the app to confirm.
5. Save the backup codes somewhere safe — outside your phone.

Logging in with 2FA

1. Enter email + password.
2. Open your authenticator app → enter the 6-digit code (valid 30 seconds).

Disable 2FA

Dashboard → Account → Security → Disable 2FA → confirm with password.

Lost access to your app?

Use a backup code to log in, then disable 2FA. Without backup codes, contact hello@visitcard.app.
